Coachella festival has set high benchmark for US based music festivals, the 2008 edition was clean, well organised with bad ass sound and lighting on different stages. The main stage even had surround sound, which they utilized just for Roger Waters (from Pink Floyd) set. The organisers of Coachella had this clever plastic bottle collection system where attendees who picked up 10 plastic bottles and delivered them to a recycling point were given a free bottle of water which resulted in a trash-free festival ground. Electronic music wise, German pioneers Kraftwerk performed on the main stage to an audience who looked slightly bemused but appreciative, whilst the dance tent pushed credible acts like Digweed & Sasha and Boys Noize.
The 2009 Coachella festival will take place from April 17 - 19th

Eric Prydz has had a very busy year with the success of ‘Pjanoo‘ keeping his schedule extremely unforgiving. However, this new stunning 3 tracker which was released today is the next killer record in a very long list. He has been hammering these 3 tracks in sets over the last few months with the A side - Evouh being a huge synth laden monster with huge build up and enormous drop and then break. On the flip side ‘Rakfunk’ is a superb funky track with cool edits and synth work recently made essential new tune by Pete Tong. The third track ‘Wakanpi’ has been a firm favourite for some time with its ethnic chanting vocal, cool synth lick and driving rhythm. This has recieved massive support from Pete Tong, Sasha, Sebastian Ingrosso, John Digweed, Steve Angello, Sebastian Leger and Paulo Mojo.
