Brand new remixes of ‘Gypsy‘. Already BBC Radio One’s Essential New Tune (11/07/08) and number 1 in this month’s Mixmag Top Tunes, Steve Angello’s latest release ‘Gypsy’ is set to become one of the biggest dance tracks of the year. Not a big fan of it, but I’m loving the Laidback Luke remix! Really sounds like it has the potential to be a big track! Other remixes include HCCR, Zoo Brazil and Veerus & Maxie Devine.
Favretto was born in the Italian Alpine town of Bolzano in 1977. He started djing at the age of 16 and now he regularly plays his sets in Italys key clubs, Monte Carlo, Austria, Mosca, St. Moritz and at Armani Bar in Hong Kong. He also works as a Dj-Producer with Off Limits. Favretto has produced ‘Put them up’, a track that reached 2 in the Billboard’s Hot Dance Airplay chart and that was one of the most aired tracks from the dance american radios in 2007. ‘Put them up’ was also supported by Judge Jules on his program on BBC radio 1 and it entered in the Global Dance Traxx Chart as one of the most danced to tracks in the world. His production skills range from radio-friendly arrangements to his state-of-the art club-oriented electro-house style used for his remixes and in line with his dj-ing taste. ‘Never Enough’ is his latest release. Make sure to also check out his great remix of Whigfields ‘Right Into the Night’ on his myspace.
Welcome back Mason, the Dutch DJ and producer who took the time he needed to make it right and 2008 his year again. Featuring remixes by Peter Jurgens & Oliver Klein and Tomcraft, ‘The Ridge‘ is disco tech at its best.
Check out this ideal melancholic chillout song taken from DJ Nobus first album ‘Lastrum‘. He’s Japan’s underground star DJ. The album was produced in Chiba city in collaboration with his local musician friend in a small studio, and this video shows a very realistic view into the deep Chiba neighborhood and its underground music community. Surprisingly, most of the footage was shot by DJ Nobu himself - a real DIY man. Sit back and enjoy the virtual ride. DJ Nobu will be performing at the Metamorphose festival in Japan this weekend.
