Personally I love FL Stuio 8, but that's the program I started with so of course for me it's my number 1. At the end of the day though, it makes no difference what you use, whether you've got a full-on studio worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, or just a room with a computer, some speakers, some samples and vst's and your favourite software. It's the soul of the music that speaks to people and you can't but that for anything.

Ableton Live 7 and Cubase are great for editing and mixing. FL studio is underrated when it comes to beat & even instrument programming, FL studio 8 has a nice audio engine and the workflow is fast as hell when you get to know it a little bit deeper. For recording hardware synths I would have to say (DAW-wise) Cubase.

Albino is nice, kinda like Vanguard and z3ta+. The release is like a send though in albino (like, when you close it the sound continues rather can cutting off), which is why i got more used to vanguard and Discovery. By the way for anyone who hasnt experienced the wonder that is the filters on Superwave-Pro then you havnt lived! lol. but seriously, i have not heard filters ilke this, be it on a synth or stand alone. its really wierd, i dont know how they work to be so special but they are... peaches. |
