With his first release on Fling called ‘Grains‘, Alex gives us a colossal summer intensified track, which features a killer and addictive hook that builds and repeats consistently to a climax that clubbers won’t forget. Alex Tepper has been DJing and producing electronic music for over ten years under different aliases. He’s probably best known as one half of Futureshock (With Phil Dockerty) who shot to fame after making over 40 remixes of artists including Underworld, New Order, The Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada and Moby to name a few. On The B side TG gives us his take on this record. Starting with some skillful groove laden beats put together with cleverly manipulated samples of the original. This gives us the hot Eric Prydz and Dubfire sound, with some sick white noise enduring onto the massive harmonic sample, building the tension, before dropping into a silly sub bass funky groove which Steve Lawler has been loving so much he’s just used it on his new Renaissance compilation.

Jes’s highly successful single “Imagination” made a club-friendly vibe that came on its own as a solid inclusion in her 2007 album “Disconnect.” Bringing up the release to new levels is Kaskade. Kaskade keeps this one stripped and electrifies the vocals with his bass lines and minimal plucks. Electro-funk house guy Michael Moog offers his high-voltage mash of acoustic sounds in an eclectic and tight package. Leaving the famous last, Tiesto doesn’t really do much. It was 4th of July here, Independence Day, and we had the Friday off. Lots of fireworks and drinking went on, but we’re back with another update. “Far Away” by Cressida and Paul Velour released on Baroque Limited is such a great vocal house song with a progressive feel to it. This EP shows their slightly darker techier sounds under the alias Paul Velour. Another release that’s on the EP gives us throbbing beats and bass with their hooks & toned down emotive melodies to bring “Black Minutes.”
