Stan Kolev – Don’t Be (Marrakech’ 2008 Remixes)
Posted on 21. Dec, 2008 by INHead-Kay.

Marrakech are back with a heart throbbing remix of Stan Kolev’s larger than life 2007 hit ‘Don’t Be’ on ‘Ready Mix Records’, which was originally released through his highly rated “Emotional Content” album. The release, whose catalogue number is SRMR014B, and will be released on the 25th of December, features two tracks, a vocal and a dub mix.
The vocal mix kicks off on a minimal vibe with a techy feel. Dreamy and groovy pads soon pick up, until the track transforms on the minute mark taking listeners into mayhem-ville. The pumping bassline combines with the original sweet vocals to produce a wonderful feel that will surely get dance floors burning over the coming months. On the 1.30 mark the track kicks back a little while keeping the bassline and pads and going full on techy again. A progressive vibe engulfs the track for around a minute with a small vocal sample that comes in every now and then, until the track enters the breakdown. Well worked synths combine with the chords, pads and angelic vocals adding new dimensions to the track, all while having solid tech elements in the background. The track peaks on the 4.30 mark taking it into an energy extravaganza in typical Hungarian fashion!
The dub mix is similar to the vocal mix but is more tech oriented. The track takes longer to peak and relies on the minimal elements to drive it forward. The same pads engulf the track but in a more subtle way to keep it more tech house oriented.
A wonderful release from the Hungarian duo who have been building a name for themselves ever since they teamed up at the start of 2007 getting support from big names in the industry. Marrakech did a very good job in keeping the original vibe of the track while shifting it into techy land. Get your hands on this release as soon as it gets out!
