Deadmau5 – The Reward is More Cheese
Posted on 13. Nov, 2008 by rgould2.

For anybody who may have thought the mau5 had gone back into his hau5, think again. I didn’t think Mr. Zimmerman was going to be able to deliver the finishing blow after his latest “Ghosts n Stuff”, but he has. I’m knocked out. This track has floored me. So progressive and so crunchy, I don’t know what else to say. Listen up!

Prodigy to release new album ‘Invaders Must Die’
Posted on 11. Nov, 2008 by Damian.

British dance band The Prodigy have announced that their new album ‘Invaders Must Die “will be released on March 2 2009. Can The Prodigy reclaim the glory days of ‘Fat of the Land ‘? ‘Firestarter’, ‘Smack My Bitch Up’, ‘Breathe’ and ‘Mindfields’ influenced a whole generation of artists of electronic music and even taught rock and punk to children how to dance. ‘Fat of the Land’ is even in the Guinness Book of World Records for being one of the fastest-selling albums of the 1990s, and it made countless top album lists including Rolling Stone and NME. Word has it ‘Invaders Must Die’ sees The Prodigy return to form, and we should expect old skool rave noise and incendiary breaks with lots of vocals.
You can pre-order the new album at: www.recordstore.co.uk/theprodigy

Layo & Bushwacka! – Djembe Re-work/The Sierra Madre
Posted on 10. Nov, 2008 by INHead-Kay.
Layo & Bushwacka! are back with an extremly trippy techno inspired EP rich with melodies and atmospheric feelings. The tracks are available on Olmeto Records, catalogue number ‘OLM 019′.
‘Djembe Re-work’ is a true masterpiece of a track. The duo have clearly been shifting and refining their sound, inspired by their world tours lately. The track kicks off on a tribal precussion led sound, with the pad slowly fading in from the back. Its obvious from the start that the duo are targetting the dreamy ones with this scorcher! It doesnt take long before the marraige of the elegant soft melodies with the trippy hypnotic female whispers start to engulf the track, combining so blissfully with the wonderfully worked bassline that makes this mindblower worthy of an all night rave in the middle of the Nordic mountainous outbacks! Euphoric stuff, Rating : 9.3/10
‘The Sierra Madre’ kicks off on a minimal techno vibe, but its only a couple of measures away from another set of dreamy morning sounding melodies. Wierd freaky telephone sounds and ecletic efx slowly start adding layers to the track picking up the energy slowly. Around the 1.30 mark an out of this world pad kicks in, then some space like sounds start fading in. Suddenly an amazing moog bass bursts in accompanied by amazing precussions and hihats. A proggie vibe starts to engulf the track until the 3 minute mark when extremly dreamy sounds re-appear accompanied by wierd sounding echoes reminisent of people and aliens communicating! At the 4th minute an air instrument kicks in then blends in with a chelo and accordion sound! The track then peaks with a ridiculously well worked bassline and delicously crisp claps that act as an army Sargeant ordering you to march back to the dancefloor! What a track! Rating: 9.5/10

Arno Cost – Darling Harbour
Posted on 07. Nov, 2008 by Getdumb.

A fanatically growing name in the house industry , Arno Cost is setting up to release an amazing new house track entitled “Darling Harbour”. When he teamed up with Arias to create “Magenta” mixed with Robin S’s “Show Me Love”, I dont think he bargained on getting the he attention he now does. “Show Me Love” being spun religiously by DJ’s all over the world, and being supported by names such as Dave Spoon, Axwell and Hardwell, Cost has proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with when behind the decks. His popularity only grew when he teamed up with John Dahlback for the release of “Golden Walls”, and Norman Doray for “Apocalypse”. With his most recent release, “Souvenir”, being another crowd pleaser, he’s now setting up to release “Darling Harbour”. With it’s high anthem tone and spine shivering electro vocals, “Darling Harbour” will undoubtedly be a huge hit upon release. Watch out for this man as he’ll soon be leading the house scene.
